blue and pearl balloon

a carpenters vampire is a forever lit skylight fire.
red, yellow, golden hue.
cry little boy, little girl too.
inside your heart is where they reside.
thrown away, the darkness cries.
strucken free, only a few moments at least.
ran away, away from the beast.
you, you, you, and you.
that old photograph.
is the only truth behind the purpose.
broken words, broken train of thought.
thrown down words. flustured paper.
red roses flown on cheeks. some sort
bumblebees, deadly trees. beauty resides
where dark is deep.

  1. I feel the same way about this one that I felt about the previous one. The poem isn't spoken in one voice, but a few, and they're just recounting series of events of their lives or life in general and how every struggle they talk about (the crying, running away, broken words) leads them to the truth that "beauty resides where dark is deep," which is so true.

    Thoughtfully,
    Alma

PS. "A carpenters vampire is a forever lit skylight fire," is my fave line even if I don't have a clue of what it might mean.... :)
