look this way, ive turned into the sky
look this way, ive turned into the ground
dont look inside of me please
eyes like daggers, pierce my soul
emotions like poison, take me now
our story has been written, no longer intertwined
dont hold me over the fire, fallen already on deadly spikes.
no need of your aide, already have destroyed thyself
no need of your judgement, already have placed thyself
no need of your story, a new chapter has begun
but you will forever remember the one that short lived
throw the days into the fire, throw the nights into the water
end the journey inward, no longer a necessity, take a new
step in a different direction.
(Here is the photo of the piece of paper i wrote this poem on on the first day back from break. more to come pretty much. have endless words that need to be linked together jumping around in my brain, i think im weird.)

One thing we have in common for sure--other than writing poetry--is that I also love taking pictures of my writing, especially if it's something like poems or just random (wise) thoughts. :)
ReplyDeleteI also have random words or phrases running around in my head and they bug me until I write them down. Then I have a sheet of paper with words and phrases and I never know how to organize them.
As usual, I like the imagery in this one. My favorite lines are the first three. I like the repetition of the beginning of it and the different endings, which I also liked very much. Especially the turning into a wall one.
